    I should have mentioned that I needed both Acetone (nail polish remover) and Rubbing Alcohol. On the fiberglass and plastic surfaces the rubbing alcohol removed the old adhesive and caulking easily, but the metal edges needed the acetone.
    Of course, this is a pre COVID video, and rubbing alcohol is like gold today. Perhaps Vodka would work just as good (and maybe even cheaper than rubbing alcohol).
