You all will remember Bill from #ProjectBeepBeep, his 1968 Road Runner.
Bill is an engineer and has the skills to restore just about any classic car gauge.
Take a look at the work he did on the 1966 Barracuda dash gauge cluster.
If you need help with your muscle car gauges, drop me a note at agcarrestoration@gmail.com and I’ll pass it long to Bill.
Enjoy this short video.
Thanks for watching.

I also replaced the rubber grommets for the speedometer (you can see in the video at a glance). The original rubber grommets had long rotted away and the speedometer rattled.
Excellent solid state IVR replacements https://rt-eng.com/
When I received the cluster the printed circuit boards were in bad shape. Two contact pins were broken, and several contact pins had fractured connections. To address that I removed all oxidation from the pins and flowed solder to insure a good electrical connection. Next I pack the pins from the backside of the circuit board with JBWeld. This increases the mechanical integrity of the contacts over thermal cycles and vibrations. The mechanical IVR was in the gas gauge and the contact points were burnt and it was near failure-which would have burned up the other gauges. The rt-eng solid state IVRs are an excellent upgrade here.
