I’m getting mixed opinions on the disc conversion. It seems with manual brakes a disc conversion is an improvement, but not as big an improvement as people think. Lots of MOPAR forum guys telling me their manual brake disc conversions were bittersweet.

Musclecarbrakes.com has a drum conversion that doubles the brake cylinder pressure and doubles the drag coefficients with ceramic shoes. It’s about half the cost of a disc conversion, and half the effort to install. I’m leaning towards this solution.
